A primary concern of NIH applicants is how to handle when an institution is closed due to natural disaster or other emergency situation. In these cases it is not necessary to get permission in advance for delays in grant application submissions. Instead, electronic and paper applications submitted late must include a cover letter indicating the reasons for the delay. The delay should not exceed the time period that the applicant organization is closed. More information can be found here: NIH Grant Policy.
The NIH Center for Scientific Review will host two different “online briefings” on peer review for: R01 applicants and researchers who are proposing and/or reviewing basic science applications. These briefings will be approximately one hour long, including a 30 minute question and answer period.

National Institutes of Health announced that all NIH-funded clinical trials (whether its direct or pass-through) that will be active on or after January 1, 2017, investigators, and clinical trial staff(as defined) will need to complete Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training for NIH Awardees involved in NIH-funded Clinical Trials, and expectations for training.
